Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid relived her excitement in being a Kapamilya and going back to her first love as she signed a new contract with ABS-CBN at the “Solid Kapamilya: The Regine Velasquez Network Contract Signing” event held at the ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater.
“Yung experience ko na maging Kapamilya muli, parang nabuhayan ako. Naging exciting ulit para sa akin, bumalik ako sa pagkanta, which is my first love naman talaga. Maraming salamat sa pagkakataon,” she said.
“I’m also recording my first album under Star Music so abangan nyo yan,” she added, teasing about her “Reginified” album that is set to be released soon under the Kapamilya premier music label.
Present at the contract signing event were ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, ABS-CBN group CFO Rick Tan, and Regine’s manager and sister Cacai Mitra.
Aside from recording music, the OPM icon has been busy with hosting duties. It has been over a year since Regine joined “Magandang Buhay” as one of its hosts alongside fellow momshies Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros, and she talked about always having a good time on the set of the morning show.
“Since I am with two lovely ladies, parang na-eenjoy ko talaga. Parang di ka nagtatrabaho. I enjoy it very, very much, ” she said.
Regine is also regularly seen in the country’s longest-running musical variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To.” She also served as one of the judges of “Idol Philippines” season 1 and 2.
