PSE Offers Certified Securities Specialist Course For Aspiring Stock Brokers

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), Inc., in partnership with the School for Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE) of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, is still accepting registrants for the Certified Securities Specialist Course (CSSC), to start on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

The 124-hour program is ideal for aspiring stock brokers and individuals who wish to pursue a path in finance or the capital markets industry to equip themselves with the basic understanding of stock investing and equities market, to enhance their investment, trading and analytical skills.

Established in 2007 by the PSE, and conducted in collaboration with the most reputable educational institutions in the country, CSSC has produced over 700 graduates many of whom had pursued and excelled in their respective careers in the Philippine securities market.

The course is divided into 23 sessions, with comprehensive lectures on fundamental knowledge on the real-world applications of the diverse finance principles. Topics covered include capital markets, fundamental analysis, fixed income, bond market, technical analysis, valuation techniques, portfolio management, securities regulations, market dynamics, financial statements, quantitative methods of finance and macroeconomics. Likewise imparted are essential ethics in the professional asset management industry.

The classes will include webinars, industry updates and briefing lectures to elaborate on the recent developments in the industry.

CSSC will host a review session and mock exam prior to the final comprehensive examination.

It is scheduled on Saturdays from June 4 to December 10, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
