Expanding its online empire beyond just sharing content to educate Filipinos on affordable and easy home cooking recipes, Chef Myke Tatung collaborates with the Philippines leading public relations company, PAGEONE, to reach more online audiences.

Making it official on August 22, PAGEONE’s President Vonj Tingson and Chef Tatung signed their partnership agreement on widening the scope of Tatung’s online segment and known book ‘Simpol.’

Unlike Chef Tatung’s present online platform, Simpol, this year will be a big milestone for the iconic Filipino chef and PAGEONE, as they will now cater to other engaging topics such as lifestyle and travel.

“This partnership is a milestone for our company, as we partnered with a well-known Filipino chef. With the goal of enriching the knowledge of our audience, this collaboration will definitely help us cater to more individuals, teaching them not only to cook but to embrace the richness of the Philippines through other lifestyle-related topics,” Tingson said.

Simpol was created by Chef Tatung and has catered to other social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook to share unique and tasty recipes since 2010. This year, the chef wanted to broaden its scope by building a website to have a one-stop shop for its viewers to have an updated take on lifestyle topics.

Chef Tatung is a known Filipino culinary icon that was not only recognized locally but also on international platforms, as he used to be featured as one of the chefs in a documentary about the beauty and history of Filipino cuisine on a known international platform.

The well-known chef, commonly known by Filipinos for his easy homecooked meals with upscale recipes, created his name by giving tips on how to gravitate towards local flavors in a fun and nutritious way for Filipino families.

Chef Tatung disclosed that he learned about cooking from his family as he discovered food recipes from whatever was available in their household. With this, he had the urge to make tasty recipes and get the most out of each ingredient.

“Alam mo kahit you cook with the simplest ingredients and you treat it well, magiging masarap yung pagkain niyo. […] In cooking, adjust lang kayo kung anong meron diba. But remember, no amount of passion will replace common sense in cooking,” Tatung said.

Chef Tatung’s Simpol website is now available online, offering the latest content on cooking, lifestyle, travel, and many more!
