PAGEONE Group’s multi-awarded Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ron F. Jabal, DBA, APR, is the first-ever Filipino to win the Global PR Practitioner of the Year by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (GA).

The Global PR Practitioner of the Year Award recognizes outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of public relations and communication on a global scale. This recognition was conferred during the World Public Relations and Communication Awards ceremony, held in Chennai, India, on Sept. 21.

With over 360,000 practitioners and academics worldwide, the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (GA) is a confederation comprising the world’s major PR and communication management associations and institutions. This year’s World Public Relations and Communication Awards featured a competitive field of 112 entries, with 21 distinguished winners across various categories. The selection process involved a panel of 25 industry experts and communicators from globally renowned PR agencies and academic institutions.

Competing against exceptional professionals from around the world, Jabal emerged as the frontrunner among the finalists, which included Rui Cabrita, Head of Global Corporate Communication of EDP (Portugal), and Vivien Chiong, Chief Communication Officer of NTU (Singapore). His remarkable dedication and exceptional leadership have set a remarkable standard for the global PR community.

Jabal expressed his gratitude and shared the recognition with his dedicated team at PAGEONE Group, emphasizing that every success and award is a collective effort. He also extended his appreciation to the PR professionals in the Philippines, acknowledging their significant contributions to the global creative services industry and the world of PR and communication.

Jabal added, “Indeed, reputation is our license to operate.” His profound words reflect the essential role of public relations in building and safeguarding the reputations of organizations worldwide.

Prior to this recognition, Jabal was named the Best PR Practitioner in Southeast Asia, PR Executive of the Year at the 2023 Stevies International Business Awards (IBA), and adjudged one of the Thought Leaders of the Year for Asia Pacific in the 2023 APAC Stevie Awards. To date, the PAGEONE executive has already received other international recognition for his exemplary performance in the public relations industry from award-giving bodies in London, New York, San Francisco, Washington, Toronto, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Jabal, who recently graduated from the Swiss School of Management with a doctoral degree in business administration, is now bound for Rome this October to accept several global awards.

The collaborative leadership of Ron Jabal and PAGEONE President Vonj Tingson positions PAGEONE Group as the only PR agency from the Philippines to receive high honors from various international awarding bodies including the NYX Awards, APAC Stevie Awards, Vega Awards, Hermes Creative Awards, London Design Awards, IPRA Golden World Awards, dotCOMM Awards, and more.
