“The additional school facilities is a continuing program of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) in the region,” he said.

Five schools in Maguindanao’s School Division 1 and 2 were recipients of the new school buildings that included single-story buildings with two classrooms, and single-story buildings with three and four classrooms.

The school recipients include the Looy Integrated Technical High School (Php2,532,684); Looy Elementary School (Php3,385,952); Refra Elementary School (Php3,385,952); Embing Mama Elementary School, (Php3,609,541); Don A. Martinez Elementary School (Php4,550,702).

The buildings were funded under the 2018 Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF), Iqbal said.
