Former actress and television host Kris Aquino pens an emotional message on Instagram about her break-up with Batangas Vice Governor and ex-boyfriend Mark Leviste.

On July 17, Kris uploaded a written letter on Instagram stating her realizations after ending her relationship with the vice mayor.

“I didn’t lie when I said a long-distance relationship is difficult. But I saw [Mark] has many dreams left to fulfill and many obligations to the people who gave him their vote,” Kris said in the letter.

Kris added that she’s realistic enough to understand that Mark has a life beyond taking care of her.

“I’m realistic enough that Mark has a life beyond trying to help take care of me. I apologize for seeming selfish but why will I add stress in my life when I see his posts enjoying himself when I am suffering 8,000 miles away?” she expressed.

Kris told her followers that she decided to step away from the relationship because she saw how unprepared Mark is for the responsibility of being in a relationship with a woman who is now living on borrowed time from God.

Before ending the letter, Kris clarified that she will not say anything negative about Mark because they are not enemies; they were just “not meant for each other.”

Along with the letter, Kris uploaded a new photo of her with her two sons with the caption, “Kuya isn’t wearing a turban; that’s my sleep mask. The reasons I refuse to give up and the truth I owe you.”

Kris is currently undergoing immunosuppressant therapy using chemotherapy medication to battle her autoimmune diseases.
