ABS-CBN News’ “KBYN: Kaagapay Ng Bayan,” hosted by veteran broadcast journalist Noli de Castro, wins the Bronze World Medal for Best Public Affairs Program in the prestigious New York Festivals TV & Film Awards on April 18.

The winners were announced via the 2023 Storytellers Gala, which featured the awardees of different television and film categories.

“KBYN,” which served as Noli’s television comeback in April 2022, was shortlisted as the only entrant from the Philippines in the News: Program category.

The program featured the struggles of ordinary Filipinos and inspiring success stories. Currently, the show has been made into a “TV Patrol” segment titled “KBYN Special Report.” Episodes of “KBYN” are available on ABS-CBN News’ YouTube channel.

The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards embraces all aspects of the television and film industries and recognizes industry innovators from over 50 countries in 14 categories.
