Filipino voice talent and content creator Inka Magnaye will appear in the world of DC Universe as she is set to voice a character in DC’s upcoming movie “Blue Beetle.”

On Wednesday, Magnaye announced on Instagram that she will voice the scarab in “Blue Beetle” for its Philippine theatrical release.

“It’s been one of my big dreams to be a canon part of a superhero world, and now I get to share this wonderful news with all of you!” she expressed in the caption.

Originally voiced by American singer and actress Becky G, the scarab, called Khaji-Da, is an ancient relic of alien biotechnology that grants the superhero “Blue Beetle” the power he needs to fight the villains and the ability to transform into a beetle.

Angel Manuel Soto directs the film, which follows the story of Jaime Reyes, portrayed by American actor Xolo Maridueña, as he becomes the superhero “Blue Beetle” after the Scarab chooses him.

The much-awaited film is scheduled to be released in the Philippines on August 16 and will contain some lines in Tagalog, Magnaye revealed.
