BINI, the Nation’s Girl Group, has been the talk of the town! Hit singles, their recent sold-out concerts, and people joining their fandom solidifies their spot as a P-Pop idol.
The Nation’s Girl Group is made up of eight members, and they call their fandom “Blooms”. BINI graduated from Star Hunt Academy on October 10, 2020, and is now managed by ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.
Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena are now the rising and talented members of BINI. Their group’s name, BINI, is derived from the Filipino word ‘BINIBINI’, meaning ‘young lady’, reflecting their aspiration to embody the modern Filipina ideal.
BINI’s taking the spotlight did not happen in just a snap. Pantropiko, their hit pre-album single, was released in late 2023 but their moment in the limelight didn’t arrive until February 2024. Now, Pantropiko has millions of streams across various music platforms and has been added to everyone’s summer playlist.
The group did not only dominate the country but they are slowly taking over Asia as well. Recently performing at Show It All, a noontime show in China. The tickets for their first concert sold out and now it has been announced that Day 3 will be happening.
Not only have the group maintained dominance in their own country, but they are also gradually expanding their influence across Asia. They recently showcased their talents on ‘Show It All,’ a daytime show in China, and the ticket selling of their first concert was sold out in just two hours.
With the success and rise of BINI, it can be hard to keep up with who’s who in the group. So, here is a list of BINI members along with a few facts about each of them.
BINI Jhoanna
First on the list is BINI’s leader, lead vocalist, and rapper, Jhoanna Christine Burgos Robles, also known as Jho, Master, Tin-tin, or Nit-nit to everybody. She was born on January 26, 2004, in Calamba City, Laguna.
BINI Aiah
Hailing from the Queen City of the South, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, is BINI Aiah or Maraiah Queen Jaraula Arceta. Born on January 27, 2001, she holds the position of visual and main rapper of the group. Aiah is called Ate Oyah, as she is the eldest in the group.
BINI Colet
Next on the list is BINI Colet or Ma. Nicolette Floresnos Vergara, born on September 14, 2001, in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. She takes on the roles of main vocal, lead rapper, and lead dancer, known affectionately as Col or Cols.
BINI Maloi
Up next is Mary Loi Yves Kipte Ricalde, also known as Maloi or Lucky. She was born on May 27, 2002, in General Trias City, Cavite. She serves as the main vocalist in the group and is known for her wit and humor.
BINI Gwen
Presenting Bicolana pride, Gweneth Llaguno Apuli, affectionately called Gwenny or Bebe, was born on June 19, 2003, in Daraga, Albay. She takes on the roles of lead vocalist and lead rapper within the group.
BINI Stacey
Next on the roster is BINI’s Stacey, also known as Staku or Staks to those close to her. Lindtsey Stacey Aubrey Casumpang Sevilleja was born on July 13, 2003, in Bagbag, Nueva Vizcaya. She serves as the group’s main rapper and lead dancer.
BINI Mikha
The group’s visual, main rapper, and lead dancer are BINI Mikha or Mikhaela Janna Jimenea Lim. She was born on November 8, 2003, in San Juan City and is sometimes called Mikhs or Babi.
BINI Sheena
Last but not least, there is BINI’s Sheena. Sheena Mae Manuel Catacutan, the youngest of the group, was born on May 9, 2004, in Santiago City, Isabela. Sheena is the group’s main dancer. As the youngest member, she is sometimes referred to as Shee or Bebe by her fellow members and fans.
BINI has made their mark in Filipino pop with everybody on TikTok dancing to ‘Pantropiko’, and will surely be remembered as a P-pop girl group.
