ABS-CBN continues to bring Filipino pride to the global stage as “Saving Grace” was named grand winner for Best Adaptation of an Existing Format (Scripted) at the 2025 Asian Academy Creative Awards held in Singapore last December 4.

“Saving Grace,” the Philippine adaptation of the hit Nippon TV series “Mother,” represented the Philippines and bested other countries in the Asia Pacific Region.

The heavy drama stars Julia Montes, Zia Grace, and Sharon Cuneta in a story about an elementary school teacher who abducts her abused student as they attempt to evade authorities.

“To the Asian Academy, thank you for seeing the heart of our work. This triumph is not ours alone, but for every Filipino whose story is one of fortitude, triumph, and healing. May our story be a source of inspiration as we share it with the world,” shared ABS-CBN business unit head Roda dela Cerna as part of her acceptance speech.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards honors excellent content and media productions across multiple platforms in the Asia Pacific region.
