The P-Pop industry is indeed flourishing as various P-Pop groups are now dominating the global stages. You can finally have the chance to fulfill your dreams to be a P-Pop icon in the new reality show ‘Top Class, The Rise to P-Pop Stardom.’

Cornerstone Entertainment, Kumu, and TV5 (through Cignal Entertainment) joined forces and signed a contract to launch this new reality show that will surely bring recognition and changes to the Philippine entertainment industry.

The representatives from the entertainment powerhouses shared the common denominator of their enthusiasm for empowering Filipinos – both potential P-Pop icons and audiences to showcase their talent and support the P-Pop industry. The representatives in the contract signing are Luis Paolo Pineda, Chief Commercial Officer of Kumu; Robert P. Galang, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cignal TV and TV 5; Erickson Raymundo, President of Cornerstone Entertainment; and Jeff Vadillo, Vice President of Cornerstone Entertainment.

On Wednesday, March 9, the reality show announced that Miss Universe 2018 beauty queen Catriona Gray would be the host of the P-Pop icon search.

The auditions for Top Class started on Sunday, March 20. The reality show also announced that only boy groups would be formed for the first season of the P-Pop icon reality show.

The ‘Top Class’ auditions are open to boys from 16 – 26 years old. Aspiring applicants can showcase their talents by submitting their audition videos and application forms through the Kumu app.

Before the auditions, Catriona Gray interviewed the P-Pop boy group, VXON, to learn more about their experiences as P-Pop icons, giving aspiring applicants a peek at what it’s like to be in the P-Pop industry.

On March 28, the reality show unveiled that Filipina singer and rapper KZ Tandingan will join the ‘Top Class’ faculty as a Vocal Mentor.

The reality show also teased the public to stay tuned on who would be the other personalities that would join the singer-rapper and the beauty queen in the ‘Top Class’ team.
