Besting off other players from other countries, two Filipino athletes made history during the recent Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) championship.

During the first week of December, the BFA held its Asian Baseball Championships, which gathered numerous athletes worldwide in Taiwan, including players from the Philippines who made a name during the competition.

Wrapping up the championships, two Pinoy athletes were able to get special recognition. Erwin Bosito was named the best outfielder, while Steven Manaig was the best catcher during the tournament.

Besides these individual awards, the whole Philippine baseball team also got the fourth sport for overall records with two wins and four losses.

With this win, their supporters and colleagues expressed their warmest gratitude to the Filipino athletes for raising the flag of the country during the prestigious competition.

“Congratulations, Erwin Bosito and Steven Manaig, Adamson alumni, for bagging the Best Outfielder and Best Catcher, respectively, at the recently concluded 2023 XXX BFA Asian Baseball Championship. We are proud of your achievements. Continue to soar high and go beyond boundaries,” the Adamson Falcons said on their Facebook post.
