While promoting his new album, “Room Under The Stairs”, British singer-songwriter Zayn Malik sat down with NYLON magazine and revealed that he tried using a dating app for a bit. Malik said, ‘It’s not been too successful for me, I’ll be honest.’

In an interesting turn, the reason behind his unfortunate experience with the application is not what everyone is expecting. He revealed, ‘Everyone accused me of catfishing. They’re like, “What are you using Zayn Malik’s picture for?” I’ve been kicked off once or twice.’

The former One Direction member mentioned that people on the dating app believed he was an impostor using his own photo, which led to his account getting deactivated multiple times.

Malik also clarified that he is not on the application as of the moment and that he is not trying to meet people from Tinder anymore while stating that, ‘I’m really content and happy with being single for the first time in my life,’
