Jung Ho Yeon, the star of Netflix’s 2021 Korean hit series “Squid Game,” led the opening of the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2022 Fashion Show at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris last March 7.
The show was Nicolas Ghesquière’s presentation of his Fall-winter collection. He is a well-known French fashion designer who used to be the creative director of Balenciaga and is now the artistic director of Louis Vuitton.
The Fall-Winter 2022 Collection is dedicated to the youth, centered on the concept of freedom of movement and a youthful desire to customize everything. This was also the first fashion show in history to take place in the Musée d’Orsay.
Aside from this recognition, Jung Ho Yeon and Lee Jung Jae both won Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Drama Series, becoming the first Korean and Asian actors to achieve so in the 28th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards in Santa Monica, California. Squid Game also took home the award for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series, making it the first non-English language TV series to do so.
The actress rose to stardom as Kang Sae Byeok in the popular Squid Game series which marked her acting role debut. She achieved fame way back in 2013 after competing on the reality program, Korea’s Next Top Model.
