“Meteor Garden” actress Barbie Hsu, 48, has passed away due to pneumonia after contracting influenza during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Reports have cited confirmation of Barbie’s sister Dee Hsu, through her agent, about the demise of the beloved actress.

In the early 2000s, the Taiwanese drama series “Meteor Garden” (2001) sparked a cultural phenomenon across Asia.
