Paulo Avelino, a Kapamilya actor, stunned shoppers as he unexpectedly grabbed the role as an elevator assistant in a mall just this recently.

Viva, a Filipino film production company, shared a viral video titled ‘Elevator Boy for a Day,’ featuring Paulo Avelino surprising shoppers at the mall by interacting with them. The caption read, ‘What if you stepped into the elevator and Paulo Avelino greeted you? Up? Down? Would you even want to get off?’

The actor noticed that some shoppers repeatedly rode the elevator to see him and take pictures with him. He also teased his fans, by denying he is the actor Paulo Avelino they’re talking about.

“Kamukha mo po si Paulo Avelino,” a fan said.

“Sabi nga po nila kamukha ko nga daw. Pero mas pogi po ako dun,” the actor replied.

Promoting his upcoming film ‘Elevator’ with Kylie Verzosa, a beauty queen-turned-actress, the video that went viral was part of their promotional strategy as their upcoming movie is about to be seen in cinemas on April 24.
