Filipino-American singer and songwriter Olivia Rodrigo is set to release her upcoming album “GUTS” on September 8.

On June 26, Universal Music Group released Olivia Rodrigo’s letter to fans, saying that she created the album during her 19th year; thus, the album is inspired by her late teen angst and experiences such as being confused and awkward and making mistakes.

“I cannot express how excited I am to embark on this new chapter of my life with you guys.” the artist said.

In GUTS’ album cover, Olivia Rodrigo is shown looking like a grown young woman compared to how she looked in her first album, SOUR,” which was written when she was 17 years old.

Her fans on Twitter also noticed that the album’s cover is purple, like the album cover of SOUR, but in a deeper shade.

They assumed that it played a big role in showing her maturity upon writing the album as she transitioned to her late teenage years.

As she soon released her album, she thanked her fans for showing support for her career and journey as a songwriter. “Making this album was very daunting very fun and very fulfilling,” she added.

Aside from singing and songwriting, Olivia Rodrigo also starred in Disney’s Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
