A new rose is blooming with the planet of Teatrong Mulat ng Pilipinas (MULAT) and their upcoming puppet performance of ‘Prinsipe Bahaghari’, the Filipino adaptation of the beloved children’s story “The Little Prince.”
MULAT is a puppet theater performing company that aims to show younger audiences the beautiful Asian culture. The group was founded by National Artist for Theater Amelia Lapeña-Bonifacio, who had a burning passion for playwrights and puppeteers.
The official poster was released on October 7, revealing the adaptation story to be performed by Vladimeir Gonzales, and directed by Aina Ramolete. All performances will be held at the Amelia Lapena-Bonifacio Teatro Papet Museo in Quezon City.
A few weeks after the announcement, the November 10 to 12 show dates were instantly sold out, the word quickly spread, and interested audiences began to hype its upcoming performance.
November 17 to 19 shows are still available for reservation via Ticket2Me; however, MULAT encourages everyone to secure them as soon as possible, as walk-in tickets are not guaranteed.
One thing to take note of is that this classical story can continue touching the hearts of anyone with its themes of friendship, love, and loss relatable to anyone’s life story.
