Kip Oebanda’s film ‘Liway’ is now available for Pinoys to stream, download, and distribute.

Written and directed by Oebanda himself, ‘Liway’ is his 2018 entry to the 14th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.

Told through the eyes of Dakip (Kenken Nuyad), the film follows the story of his mother Liway (Glaiza de Castro), as she protects Dakip from her difficult life as a political prisoner under martial law. The film is based on true events.

In a recent Facebook post from Liway’s official page, Oebanda shared a link that contains the full copy of the film.

“Pinned in the comments is the HD copy of “Liway” on Google Drive. This is yours now. Feel free to create copies, torrents, splice it, stream it, use it for your own purposes,” he stated in the post.

The acclaimed director has now given the public legal access to a copy of the film, where anyone can download the copy, use it for their own purposes, and distribute the film anywhere.

‘Liway’ has been available to watch on video streaming platform YouTube since March 17, but the public could only stream the film since then.

With Oebanda’s Facebook post, he has now given the public free access to the film, granting all Pinoys around the world the right to download and distribute the film however they want.

The public may now access and get a copy of the film at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jtwXdnjpfsZhfEEIkraDQ3lRi0QjVnQZ?usp=sharing.
