It’s Showtime hosts reminisce about their noon-time show journey, expressing their excitement about continuing their goal to bring happiness in relation to changing their network.

On June 28, the noon-time show “It’s Showtime” posted through its Facebook account a video of how its hosts for 14 years treasured the show and its audience.

The 7-minute video brings the audience to the beginning of It’s Showtime as the hosts bring back the time when they were just starting.

“It was just pure magic,” Vice Ganda said about the unexpected friendship she formed with her co-hosts over time.

Vhong Navarro also got emotional when he said that they owe their audience, the Madlang People, a lot for staying with them during the hard times, especially the pandemic.

“Gano’n kami ka-mahal ng Madlang People, kasi sinundan nila kami. Ang hirap manood kasi ang liit [ng screen sa cellphone] pero tinya-tiyaga nila; marinig na nga lang ‘yung mga boses namin pero masaya pa rin sila,” he said.

Seeing the Madlang People having fun is also the reason why they continue to move forward every day.
“Everyday na nakikita namin yung Madlang People na nandyan, tumatawa, hindi kami napapagod,” Jhong Hilario said.

When asked about their definition of home, singer and host Jugs Jugueta said, “Kung nasaan ‘yung kapamilya ko, ‘yun ‘yung home,” referring to It’s Showtime staff and hosts due to the bond that the show created for them.

Despite being part of the Kapamilya network for more than a decade, the hosts still expressed their excitement about moving to the GTV channel for their noon-time show.

Amy Perez compared her excitement to getting a new house where they can create more memories with a wider array of audiences.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda reassured that they will always choose to give happiness to their audience, even with their newest network.

“Mapapagod ‘yung mga puso namin pero hindi tayo hihinto. Itutuloy at itutuloy natin lahat. Pababayaan ba nating maglaho na lang ang magandang nasimulan?” she said.

She also added that they will continue what they started and find new ways to bring joy to Madlang People no matter what.

On the same date, media giants ABS-CBN and GMA formally signed the deal for It’s Showtime’s official transfer to GMA Network’s GTV, as witnessed by the show’s hosts.

“Natutuwa kami na tuloy ang saya tuwing tanghali na magkakasama muli ang mga Kapuso at Kapamilya sa Showtime,” President and CEO of ABS-CBN Corporation Carlo Katigbak said.

The network formally announced that the noontime show will be able to air on GTV starting July 1.
