“It’s Showtime” marked another milestone last Saturday (Dec. 6) as the program launched its first “It’s Showtime AWAAARD,” a lighthearted awards segment honoring the hosts’ most memorable on-air moments in celebration of the show’s 16th anniversary.

Ryan Bang, Jackie Gonzaga, and guest host Barbie Forteza led the presentation, joined by a lineup of guest presenters including Angeline Quinto, Chanda Romero, Gus Abelgas, Kyline Alcantara, Negi, Iyah Mina, Petite, Ralph De Leon, Esnyr, and Klarisse De Guzman.

Among the early highlights was the “HA? Hakdog Award,” which went to Anne Curtis and Jhong Hilario for their on-air mispronunciations. The “Sablay Supremacy Award” was handed to Vhong Navarro for his consistent on-camera mishaps, while Jugs Jugueta claimed the “Dress in Piece Award” for his memorable fashion risks, including his widely shared Fuji Apple outfit.

The program also recognized the jokes that often fall flat through the “Natutulog Ba, Nag-Joke Award,” won by Kim Chiu and Ryan Bang, while the “G na Gina Alajar Award,” was awarded to Ogie Alcasid and Jackie Gonzaga for always being game for any challenge.

Vice Ganda received the “Glow Up Award,” while the hosting trio Vice, Vhong, and Jhong were honored with the “Physical Hosting Award” for their trademark high-energy interactions. Vhong also secured the “Words of Wisdom Award” for his now-classic line, “Crush is paghanga.”

The most emotional citation, the “Cry ‘Yan Cayabyab Award,” recognized Vice Ganda, Ion Perez, and Ryan Bang for bringing authentic emotion to the program. Vice expressed gratitude to viewers, calling the madlang people the show’s “safe space.”
The awards capped a weeklong anniversary celebration that featured themed performances across MagRAPasikat, MagPOPsikat, DANCEpasikat, ROCKpasikat, and DRAGpasikat, underscoring the show’s continued commitment to entertainment variety and community connection.j
