Gerald Anderson is incredibly proud of how ABS-CBN’s crime action-drama “Sins of the Father” helped shed light on widespread scams and frauds as the most watched series on iWant ends this week.

“I will miss playing Samuel because of the impact and social awareness na ibinigay ng show namin. It’s about corruption and scams, which is very timely sa nangyayari sa bansa natin. It has been an amazing journey, and I’m very grateful,” the Kapamilya actor said.

One of the show’s directors, FM Reyes, affirmed Gerald’s perspective, adding that the series represents their commitment to bringing awareness to social issues.

“This is our little way of presenting to the public all the perspectives of corruption in our lives. From the victims who condone the scamming business and from those who run it. Higit sa lahat, it gave a voice to those who are voiceless,” shared FM, who has worked with co-directors Bjoy Balagtas and Avel Sunpongco.

ABS-CBN’s JRB Creative Production, led by business unit head Julie Anne R. Benitez, produced the series, with executive producers Maya Aralar and Marissa Kalaw, creative head Dindo Perez, head writer Cenon Palomares, and writers Jann Mendoza and Shania Vonzel.

In the series’ finale, viewers can expect intense action and mounting tension as long-buried secrets and horrific crimes come to light. Samuel (Gerald) breaks out of jail with the help of Agnes (Jessy Mendiola) and Johnny (RK Bagatsing) after being wrongfully accused as the leader of the Bakunawa scam syndicate.

After uncovering her family’s deep involvement in various scam operations, Leah (Shaina Magdayao) takes a courageous stand to reveal their crimes and safeguard her children from harm.

Jacob (JC De Vera) seizes control of the Bakunawa syndicate, ordering the capture of Arissa (Francine Diaz) and threatening Samuel’s family, while Enzo (Seth Fedelin) remains in grave danger as a captive in the scam warehouse.

Don’t miss the riveting finale of “Sins of the Father” weeknights at 9:30pm on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5, iWant, and TFC.
