Multimedia superstar Anne Curtis joins Madame Tussauds’s star-studded halls in its Hong Kong Glamour Zone as the first Filipino actress and TV host next to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao.

Curtis’s wax figure was revealed at the highly “anne”-ticipated unveiling event in Makati City last November 27, in front of her family, close friends, and supportive fans.

“I am beyond lucky to have been given this opportunity. This was a dream come true for me, especially to join artists at Madame Tussauds whom I also look up to. I can’t wait to be there with my fellow Filipinos and for our kababayans in Hong Kong to visit us!” the actress shared.

Dressed in an elegant cream-coloured Dior gown donated by Curtis herself, her twin statue radiate the same sophistication she possessed. The figure held a microphone and posed as if she were ready to host and conquer the stage, reflecting her being multi-passionate.

“We thought it would be great for my wax figure to wear a costume that’s elegant and timeless. So when we chose this dress together with some jewelry pieces, everything just fell into place. It represented my classic style which blended well with my passion for performing and hosting. This look was precisely who I am and how I wanted to inspire people who will engage with my wax figure,” she said.

Also present at the event is Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s Head of Sales and Marketing, BoBo Yu.

“It was so great to work with Anne throughout the entire process of creating this. With her wax figure, we hope to bring a piece of home to our Filipino visitors. We’re also looking forward to the interactions her fans will have with the wax figure as we foster a platform where Filipinos shine,” Yu said.

Curtis’s twin will be available for viewing at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong starting December 9, 2024.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong announced the making of Curtis’s wax figure in December 2023, making the production a one-year wait for the actress which she claimed to be “worth it.”
