The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed two road improvement projects in Morong town in Bataan province to ensure the safety and convenience of motorists and commuters.

Implemented by the Bataan 1st District Engineering Office, the newly-completed projects were the asphalt paving of a 758.65-linear meter section of Gov. JJ Linao Road in Barangay Nagbalayong and the asphalt overlay works on the 319-linear meter portion of Bataan Nuclear Power Plant Road, both in Morong town.

District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. cited on Monday the importance of the two road improvement projects as Morong hosts several tourist destinations.

Flores particularly cited the Kairukan Falls, Limutan Falls, and Mount Natib that are all located in Barangay Nagbalayong.

He said improving road conditions within the municipality will help boost tourism and provide better economic prospects.

“Providing visitors with safe and better access will have a positive impact on the province’s tourism industry,” Flores said in a statement.

Likewise, he said the completed projects are also expected to make travel easier and faster.

“The road improvement projects implemented by the DPWH provide locals with a better quality of life and a higher standard of living, while visitors who want to see and experience the beauty of Morong are given greater mobility,” he added. (PNA)
