Taguig City will open five new multilevel school buildings in preparation for face-to-face classes with the downgrading of the Covid-19 alert level in Metro Manila.

Mayor Lino Cayetano, in a message to reporters on Monday, said these include two 7-storey school buildings and three 4-storey school buildings.

“Investing in our students is a priority. We want to help them succeed in life. Taguig will also reap the benefits as our students become productive members of society who will contribute on their own to the continued progress of the city,” he said.

One of the 7-storey school buildings is located at Ciriaco P. Tiñga Elementary School in Barangay Hagonoy. The other at Ricardo P. Cruz Senior Elementary School in Barangay Lower Bicutan is equipped with an elevator.

The three new 4-storey school buildings are located at the Tipas Elementary School Annex Building with covered court in Barangay Calzada-Tipas; Bagong Tanyag Elementary School Main in Barangay Tanyag and Kapt. Jose Cardones Memorial Elementary School in Barangay South Signal.

All of the school buildings are equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, water and electricity and furniture. (PNA)
